The Door
In John's family there is a great family tradition which involves all grandkids and guests visiting his nannie and gramps' house have their height recorded on the kitchen door. John mentioned starting this tradition again at the Gilmore's. So a couple days after Thanksgiving we decided to have Charlotte start the tradition. As you can see from the pic she is very pleased with having her Papa measure her height!
Thanksgiving
Charlotte, John, Macie and I spent Thanksgiving at the Gilmore's. We started off the morning with a Turkey trot called the Feaster Five in Andover, MA where all participants got an apple pie upon completion. I ran it with my friend Katherine. We made the trip down to my folks and spent the day enjoying the Thanksgiving feast. This is one of my favorite pictures of Charlotte clapping as we sat for dinner.

The Offical Crimson Queen
Charlotte is offically the smallest and youngest member of Gilmore Cranberry Company. This year Charlotte experienced all aspects of harvest. She watched the filming of the Ocean Spray commercials at White Springs bog, she met the actors, she was part of a photo shoot for Ocean Spray's Heritage Campaign (http://www.oceanspray.com/heritage/), she helped mom and dad harvest cranberries for a few weekends in October and attended the cranberry harvest festival. She has done all this before turing one!
Charlotte is the official Crimson Queen!

Starting her early...
We are starting Charlotte early on Cranberry farming. As you can see she already at the young age of 10 months LOVES cranberries. She ate 5 of them in one sitting.
Tuesday
So I've decided that I need to be more active on my blogging since I've been quite a slacker for the past few months - Here are the updates from the Carr household:
1) We now have a nanny/babysitter so no more crazy balancing act with watching Charlotte and trying to work. It was getting a little crazy having to play with her while on a conference call with lawyers or have her in the Ergo while I attended weekly status meetings.
2) One of my favorite friends and a sister to me - Em Nevius had her first baby - Tye Tiana Nevius. This beautiful baby was born on Saturday - welcome Tye!
3). Heritage Campaign - My family - The Gilmores - was chosen for the Ocean Spray Heritage Campaign. It involves us being on the Ocean Spray website, photo shoots and much more. Check it out: http://www.oceanspray.com/heritage/massachusetts.aspx
4) Halloween (pics to follow) - Charlotte was a ladybug and loved her costume. We celebrated Halloween in Beacon Hill at a friend's house and then proceeded to get a celebrity sighting - Katie Holmes, Suri and Tom Cruise - yes I was standing next to them - The trifecta of celebrity sightings!

Play Time
Charlotte and I have been spending significant time at Nonna and Papa's this summer. Charlotte even has her own playroom at their house. Here are a few pictures of her playing with her toys. As you can see she is really good at sitting up by herself!

Last day of our Great Beginnings Class
Charlotte has enjoyed her Great Beginnings Class (almost as much as mom has!). She has made a lot of new friends some of which are very flirty with her (check our Harris - the boy to her right). Charlotte has now advanced to the Next Steps class and is learning new songs and reading new books. Charlotte's favorite time in her new class is parachute time. We'll be sure to take a picture of it for the blog.
